OMG I LOVE this carpet! I tried to talk Papa into this when he was re-doing Alexsandras room... but over budget. Yeah!!

Is this berber? I don't think it is.... but it looks kiiinda berber, and is about the same color as our floor I think. We weren't sure about the berber, but I love it now. It hides all of Morgan's messes, but it lets Cooper's hair float on top... so I need to do better about vacuuming, but I had that problem anyway. Who wants to vacuum every day?

Nope, berber is the loops that are very tight. We looked at some, but they didn't have a color we really liked for it, and we like the Frieze look a lot. Frieze is twists of varying thicknesses (little skinny ones and big fat ones), ours has a bunch of different shades in it that are similar, so you don't totally see a ton of colors, but it will hide spills, cat hair, etc better. Ours is a bit darker than this example, more brown, and this one has just skinny twists. Ours is a little more funky with the twists. THey are long enough to sink your hand into, but they won't show footprints. Maybe 1 inch long?? I like it. There were some similar ones we looked at, with just skinny twists, but this one is so soft and a lot thicker and padded. It is spendy, but really good quality and will last a long time. We are having our final measure done on Tuesday, and if the downstairs carped area is less than 700 square feet (which I am sure it is), this is the best deal. We could get a slightly lower quality carpet through Empire Today that is less expensive if there are more than 700 square feet downstairs to do, but I think we want everything done by one company (laminate and carpet). They will come in on Friday the 27th and maybe the 28th to finish the wood, if they don't finish on Friday. I think we will bring the cats over on Saturday to get used to the house before the move on Sunday, and the fridge will have to be either early Friday or late Saturday. We shall see.

Plus, Berber would have been SUCH a headache for you with those CATS!! Snag just ONE loop with a claw and you have a naked spot where you have to trim that loop back... Ugh.. although it does look nice! Yes, this carpet was popular in the really upscale houses in Gig Harber... they would have all hard woods, and a square section of this carpet in the living area... all the agents would whip off their shoes so that they could go walk in it.. V V funny!! I am so excited for you! And it looks like you got a screaming deal too!!
