Arc de Triomphe

After our long meal, we took the metro over to the Arc de Triomphe. Using our Museum Passes, we climbed up to the top, where there was a little light rain going. We spent more time inside the monument, where they have models and displays of other monumental arches. Interesting and informative.....but irritating with the kids running amok. Bad parenting everywhere!! Kids messing with displays and changing the video display every second or so by pushing a button to change the picture showed--a dizzying effect, to say the least. Other people's children.....

The monument was undergoing some restoration work, so some of the main relief sculptures were covered. The pitfalls of travelling in the off-season. Oh, well....just means we have to come back!
