Once we were set up in our room, we headed out to explore a bit and find some dinner. We decided to head to another Rick Steves recommended restaurant--this one an Italian place about 8-9 blocks from us. One of the best meals of our entire trip! I had the best lasagna I have ever had. We wandered around more after this, checking out canals and the tall, narrow townhouses. We found the Anne Frank house and took pictures of it and the small statue of Anne Frank herself at Westerkerk church a block away.
