It was a 4 hour journey through the streets of Paris; stopping at many monuments as they lit up at dusk. We went to Berthillion's ice cream/gelato on Ile St Louis (I had Apricot, Ethan had dark chocolate), biked around the pyramid at the Louvre, learned about the history of Paris, and had an awesome ride.
We ended up along the Seine river, where we hopped aboard a boat and took an hour-long ride up and down the river, enjoying red wine and the stories of the buildings and monuments along the river. At night, for 5 minutes on the hour, the Eiffel tower twinkles. It is always lit up, but they add twinkling. What an ooh and ahh there was when it first did this when we were on the boat! A magical journey.
After the boat tour, we hopped back on our bikes and rode back to the bike shop. It was a few minute walk from there back to our hotel for the evening.
